One of my amazing clients who has trusted me with many of her pieces asked me to refurbish a tiered looking dresser. The dresser had a mirror attached but she has decided to not attach it but use it as a wall piece.
Once I had the piece sanded back I noticed that there was an oil and ink stain that was being hid by the dark stain the manufacturer used, after many attempts I was unable to remove the stain, referring back to my client we decided to use a stain on the top as a contrast look. It was also interesting to note that the although the drawer fascia was Oak the drawers were made of Native Rimu and were stunning.
Finished in a natural wax the handles are original cleaned a painted.
