A existing client asked me to restore a family heirloom that had been lent to her family, the handmade rocking horse was constructed in 1984 (Rimu) and the owner wanted it back for her grandchildren to enjoy. During its visit to my clients family a naughty puppy decided it was time to try out his teeth on the wood which required a replacement piece and it needed an overall spruce up.
These pictures are the before and after, I did not sand it back completely I left the years of use and children’s love still visible.
