This piece was in a very poor state, drawers without backs and sticking the top had been exposed to the elements and the Rimu was dry and brittle, the bottom had water damage.
we stripped the wood back and conditioned it, the decision was made to paint the sides to make the unit more appealing to the market but the beauty of the drawer fronts and top were waxed and polished.
The drawer runners were repaired and waxed, the drawers themselves were repaired and strengthened, holes filled and the inner was polyurethaned for greater protection.
We were absolutely thrilled with the result.
