This solid wood tall boy was owned for at least two generations and had been well used, the construction is sound however the feet just did not match the square body.
Decided to remove the feet, strengthen the base and leave the base as it was built which now suits its straight lines, used new brass and wood handles to modernize it and painted it in a Dulux Aquanamel, polyurethaned the inner drawers for protection and moisturized and waxed the top and drawer fronts. All the drawer runners have been repaired and the drawers slide beautifully.
It is now ready for another new generation.
